Vice President candidates’ speeches Wordled

Joe Biden’s speech:

Sarah Palin’s speech:

Biden’s top words:
Barack, Obama
America, American

Palin’s top words:
John, McCain
America, American, Country

Once again, like the analysis of the Clinton-Bush speeches, Palin’s RNC speech dealt with describing Senator McCain generally as a better man than Barack Obama. She spent much of her speech mocking Senator Obama’s experience, including his work as a community organizer, “I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a “community organizer,” except that you have actual responsibilities.”

While Biden’s speech dealt with the need for change and that Barack Obama is the man for that. However, Palin rarely mentioned Obama’s name, while Biden mentioned McCain’s over and over because they have been colleagues for decades.

In all, both vice presidential candidates did what they were supposed to do – attack the opponent. We’ll see what happens between the two candidates on October 2 at the vice presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis.
